Courtney Silverthorn, Ph.D.
Dr. Silverthorn received her B.S. with honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Sweet Briar College in 2003. She completed her Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2008, where her doctoral research focused on the role of the microenvironment in melanoma gene expression and response to therapy. Dr. Silverthorn currently volunteers with Recording For the Blind and Dyslexic of Washington DC, and the Sweet Briar College Alumnae Admissions Representatives. She joined the Frederick office of the TTC as a CRTA fellow in 2009.
